There are a few high altitude olive trees in the Secret Forest.
I am picking now their olives π«π«.
Last autumn those trees didin’t produced any olive, due to a couple of coldsnaps during the previous spring I guess. It indeed snowed in April, which is not unsual here. To my understanding these trees are “mountain olives” and while they are safe from the olive fly, on the other hand they are subject to spring cold that can frost the flowers.
I harvest one tree at a time, beetwen difference printing sessions in the darkroom. The olive trees are indeed just a few meters away from the laboratory.
